Vintage Lens Filters
Trying out the vintage 1970s rainbow spot and star lens filters on the 85mm canon lens. I found these in a bundle at a carboot sale and throught they would be fun to play with which they are.
Quite gimmicky but the effects are great especially in manual mode where you can create lots of out of focus patterning. Not sure how to use these other than in a disco situation.
I want to look more at lens filters to create effects in camera mainly for blurred sections, soft focus and adding more texture.

Wells Foggy Morning Landscapes - October 2019
Bishops palace fields in Wells have beautiful specimen trees, these were good practice for landscape especially as they are well laid out.
Canon 50mm lens f/22 low key, cool colour edited in lightroom
Canon 50mm lens f/22 please with the detail on the grass and soft silhouette of the central trees.
Canon 50mm lens f/22 high key soft silhouettes
Canon 50mm lens f/22 low key - love this old dark horror look.
Happy with the softness of this shot. 50mm
Canon 50mm lens f/22 the mist creates a back light for the silhouettes to stand out.
Canon 50mm lens f/22 - liked this shot enough to try three ways
Canon 50mm lens warm colour filter in lightroom
Canon 50mm lens f/18
Canon 50mm lens f/22
Canon 24 - 100 lens f/22 - taken the following week with a different lens with higher f stop.
Canon 24 - 100 lens f/22 - I liked the landscape shots of the first set but wish I'd had a wider lens with me. Preferred the 50 mm lens but with the lack of mist there weren't the silhouettes created in the trees.

Weston Super Mare - Best of the rest
Weston super mare is a fascinating town full of what was a grand history. Its been left to fall apart just like Birnbeck Pier but has so much potential, just imagine if these seaview buildings were developed.
Hotels are stuck in an early nineties time warp, people live in shop windows and the shops that are still open sell the leftovers of the towns houses. But very little glimmers of hope can be seen. Weston is the town hipsters haven't quite got to yet, it will need a lots of them.
