Climate Strike Wells - 20th September 2019
Extinction Rebellion Climate Strike in Wells Somerset. Wells has an active sustainable group along with newly elected progressive leaders on the council from the Green Party and Lib Dems.
I missed the meeting in the town square but couldn't miss the huge procession of people young and mature walking past the studio window. People settled on the Cathedral green with their vibrant banners and pledges, a wonderful mix of school children, parents and grandparents.
It was a positive step forward with clear actions we all can take to be responsible citizens of this planet.

Freesias
Freesias from Lynnsey Kelly flowers. I love the green and white on the black. Needs a tripod to get super sharp detail on the petals.

Rose - Lynnsey Kelly Flowers
The classic rose, bold and very beautiful. I love how strong and leathery the leaves are as a silhouette. My pictures make them look quite dry so maybe I need to try misting the flowers first?

Wax Flower - Lynnsey Kelly Flowers
I love this flower, just like the wax bridal crowns of the 1930s and 40s. And it smells so delicious.

Lynnsey Kelly gave me the most beautiful bouquet this weekend so I photographed each of the flowers in the hand tied bouquet.

Lantern Parade Wells Somerset
In the rain, it was magical as one by one these beautiful paper lanterns arrived in the pitch black darkness of the park. The drums started and the procession bobbed along to the Cathedral. One of the most simple and effective treats to see in Winter and I look forward to 2019s lantern parade in Wells.
